ABA Therapy

Every client will be assessed to determine skill levels and current priorities. The client, caregiver, and Umbrella Center staff will make up the treatment team that will determine what behaviors we will target for increase or decrease.

When a client has a diagnosis, we will focus on remediating the symptoms that the treatment team have determined are a barrier to living a happy life.

Who Can we help?

At The Umbrella Center, we support individuals with an autism diagnosis across the lifespan—from early childhood through adolescence and into adulthood. We partner with each client and their family to build meaningful, individualized goals that promote independence, communication, and quality of life.

We recognize that many individuals with autism may also experience additional challenges, such as anxiety, attention differences, or other developmental needs. Our team takes a whole-person approach, collaborating with families and other providers to support each individual in a way that is compassionate, practical, and effective.

Where can we help?

Services are centered at our clinic in Garfield Park, where we provide a structured and supportive environment for learning and growth.

We also meet clients where they are by offering services in:

  • The home

  • Schools and educational settings

  • Community environments (e.g., parks, stores, social spaces)

This flexible approach allows us to target real-life skills in the settings where they matter most.

How do we help?

We provide individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services designed to meet each client’s unique needs. Services may include both comprehensive and focused ABA, depending on goals, age, and level of support needed.

Our approach includes:

  • One-on-one, in-person ABA therapy

  • Group, in -person ABA therapy

  • BCBA consultation

  • Caregiver collaboration and coaching

Most services are delivered face-to-face, with telehealth options available when clinically appropriate. Telehealth may be used for caregiver guidance, supervision, or direct services based on the needs of the client and family.

ABA is covered by health insurance for those with the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Don’t have a diagnosis? No problem! We can refer you to someone who can help you obtain that diagnosis.
